It is a great image. But I think that the atmosphere on the close up planet is too bright.

ok so answer us this, is it a Colony ON Icarus? or a Colony called Icarus? Amy and I would like to know :P
on a side note, nice picture! I like how the comet? lights up the whole area, took me a little while to figure out that the moon? was actually the moon. Because the colony thing looks like the same shape as in that previous picture that you did W/ the dark side of the earth-like-planet and the galaxy

THe idea was that the project to put a colony on the, yes, moon of the planet was called Icarus. The so called "comet" you refer to is actually a dense starfield, of which the main light source is an outlier star. As for the colony itself, while the orignal one you refer to is based on sattellite photos of Rio de Jinero, this one is based on London. If you look closely and switch between them, you'll see differences. :D
